GLiTCH is the first collection produced solely by The Art House - myself and my left-hand-unicorn Cat

After working side by side for almost 3 years, with Cat venturing into photography alongside being my assistant and bestest bud, we decided it was time to bring our two creative minds and ventures together.

Inspired by 80s video games and dark futuristic energy, GLiTCH is a journey into another dimension. Using a blend of light and colour to create something other-dimensional, light meets dark and spawns something truly unique and not of this world.

GLiTCH aims to display the crazier, possibly darker, side that is often hidden from view, but is desperate to get out. Call it a comment on mental health, masking, sexuality, unleashing the ‘real you’ that you’ve always wanted to be or all of the above… it’s open to interpretation and we want to leave it that way.

Strange & Unusual is a collaborative collection by myself and Paul Devlin (Barber/Clipper Artist)

After meeting on a previous shoot, we discovered a shared love for going ‘all in’ and breaking the mould. We decided to unite hairdressing and barbering like never before.

Both being inspired by pop-culture and things out-of-the-ordinary, we created a collection that drew inspiration from the weird & wonderful characters and settings of Tim Burton movies. The aim was to capture the colourful individuality but maintain the dark undertones of each character in every shot - with our own unique twist of course!

Each model’s costumed look was created ourselves - most of it by hand.

Beautifully Individual is inspired by the ethos behind my business. Just because something is edgy and unique, doesn’t mean it can’t also be beautiful and classy.

Bold colours and styling are no longer reserved for punks and angsty teenagers, so this collection aims to be both subtle and attention grabbing. The antique hues in the hair are powdery yet vibrant, soft and smoky with sophisticated undertones that are timeless, not garish and appeal to both the young and the young at heart.

Titania is inspired by the fantasy and whimsy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Creating magical, seductive fairies lost in an enchanted forest.

Fun fact: this wasn't shot in a forest - it was shot in a tiny garden at The Mercury Theatre on a VERY cold day!

Frozen is an experiment and a collaboration between myself and gorgeous model-come-costumer, Frankie. It shows how fantasy hair can translate from commercial, to glamorous, to fantasy.
